Soft tissue therapy

Soft tissue therapy is part of manual therapy. It uses various techniques for working with the body, including relaxation, functional massage, deep tissue massage or trigger point therapy.

Often the cause of pain is overloading of soft tissues, which undergo increased tension. This causes changes in the internal organs, spine and joints and leads to unpleasant pain. In some cases, joint mobility may be restricted and degeneration may occur.

Soft tissue therapy involves the proper activation of tissues so that they are relaxed. As a result, muscle balance and joint function can be restored.

Indications:

  • contractures of muscular origin,
  • muscle weakness,
  • local edema,
  • venous stasis,
  • restriction of joint mobility that results from soft tissue dysfunction,
  • muscular hypertonia.
